Ορισμένα από τα στοιχεία που προσδιορίζουν τη σημαντικότητα της Προστατευόμενης Περιοχής του Ε.Θ.Π.Ζ. σε Τοπικό, Εθνικό αλλά και Ευρωπαϊκό επίπεδο αποτελούν η ποικιλομορφία του τοπίου αλλά και η αντιπροσωπευτικότητα των μεσογειακών και νησιωτικών οικοσυστήματων που συναντιόνται στον χώρο αυτό. Έτσι, κατά την περιήγηση σας στην παράκτια ζώνη, θα συναντήσετε αμμώδεις παραλίες, αμμοθινικά συστήματα, βραχώδεις ακτές και σημαντικούς γεωλογικούς σχηματισμούς (γλίνες).
